This is a great class for anyone who wants to know how to use a sewing pattern correctly.
You will be shown how to measure yourself and use the size chart correctly to make the garment that fits you properly.
How and where to shorten or lengthen the pattern, if you are petite or tall.
How to change and make the pattern fit if you are between sizes.
Notches, drill holes, grain lines and any other marks on the pattern will be explained and you will be shown how to use them correctly.
Terminology and notions will be explained in a way that you can easily understand.
Find out how to make tailors tacks, trim your seams, where and how to notch into your seams and mark the information you need onto your fabric.
You will be shown how to make the most of your fabric usage. How to cut your cloth properly to ensure you have the least amount of wastage. The best way to cut checks, stripes and patterned fabric so your pieces match correct.
Any questions you have will be answered by our helpful tutor.
This class is about using your pattern, there is no sewing involved.
