You will learn how to:-
Use and understand a bag pattern - especially the terms and processes that bag makers use.
How to use a rotary cutter and cutting mat.
Stabilise your fabric with woven interfacing (provided)
How to use the right padding/bosal (provided)
Which stitches, thread and needles to use.
How to make and fit pockets
How to measure and quilt accurately
How to fit a bag zip.
How to make strong comfortable handles.
You'll have a great time making a bag that will make you proud.
This workshop runs for 3 weeks, starting on 1st November, from 10.00 - 12.00
You need to have recent experience of using a sewing machine.
You need to bring:
1 metre outer cotton fabric (fancy) 1 metre cotton fabric for the lining
We will provide:
Interfacing, bosal, thread and zip and equipment.
