Beginners Sewing Course THURSDAY 23rd July Evening 7.00-9.00 for 3 weeks

Join Debbie our New Tutor for her super Beginners Course.

Week One:  In your first class using Janome sewing machines, you will learn about your machine, different stitches, speed control stitch length, needle positions, how to wind a bobbin, insert the bobbin, thread the machine correctly, start to sew and find your confidence.

Week 2:  Trace your paper pattern, cut it out accurately, choose your fabric and trims, learn how to place the pattern on the fabric, how to use grain lines, notches and drill holes, how to pin and cut out your fabric and start to make your lovely tool pouch.

Week 3:  In your final class you will finish making your tool pouch, you will learn to pin the fabric together, how to use tacking stitches, how to attach binding and how to attach your ties, finishing off your personal tool pouch to take home.

Once you have finished your Beginners Course you will be ready to move onto the next level.
