Beginners Sewing Class Sunday 11th October 10.00-12.00 x four weeks

Join Debbie for her super Beginners Course.

Week 1:  In your first class using our Janome sewing machines, you will learn about your machine, different stitches, speed control stitch length, needle positions, how to wind a bobbin, insert the bobbin, thread the machine correctly, start to sew a few different types of seams and find your confidence.

Week 2: You will learn how to use the Janome Overlockers building your confidence ready to start your pyjama bottoms. You will then be shown how to cut out your paper pattern.

Week 3: You will learn how to use the grain lines to lay up and pin your pattern correctly on your fabric, how to use notches to balance your pattern, tacking stitches to help with any tricky bits and then start to overlock and sew your pyjama bottoms together.

Week 4: You will be turning your hems, adding the elastic and finishing to your pyjama bottoms.

Once you have finished your Beginners Course you will be ready to move onto the next level.
